One Hot Take

I recently heard the intro to a news story about recent elections in Israel; it went something like this (paraphrasing),

“… Neither Benjamin Netanyahu or the opposition leader, Gasi Eisenkot, won an outright majority in the recent Israeli elections to lead the country; Arab parties hold the balance of power, but neither side wants to partner with them…“

W… T… F…

It has to be those who will not only reach across the aisle, but reach across to other groups with different interests, be at economic, social, etc., regardless of foundational characteristics, like are you a Jew, are you an Arab…

It can only be then that the compromises reached consensus can be built and peace, and a more tranquil society, in Israel or anywhere, only then can we make progress.

SHEESH.

Ok. Hot take concluded.
