Watching game seven of the World Series this year, it occurred to me how in baseball there is friendly chatter between teams some of the time.
This happens, sometimes at the plate between batter and catcher, and certainly on bases, when there are base runners, especially on first base.
Friendly might be too strong a word, phrase, but there is definitely an easy rapport at times, a little chitchat, comment, and it doesn’t seem ill-natured.
The example that the broadcasting network also picked up, the commentators, interaction between Shohei Otani and Vladimir Guerrero Jr., respected competitors, respecting each other.
Good to see, positive relationship in the midst of competition,
GOOD.
