This is a public service announcement, maybe a little sort of rant, maybe a humble suggestion…

Feeling all these things in this moment, as I write this and so,

When one is at a left-hand, turn signal light and stopped, one might be tempted to look at ones smart phone,

And do any number of things with that smart phone while waiting for the light to change,

All that is fine.

[It might be illegal, I’m not sure what the hands-free driving loss says about being at a stoplight, but I digress…]

Critical to engaging in any said smartphone activity at the afore mentioned stoplight,

it is critical that you also pay attention to the light changing, so that the light doesn’t change and heaven forbid you don’t respond to that traffic light in the appropriate way once Green,

You can imagine the frustration, infuriation, we might say even pocket rage that the people might feel behind you if the light turns green, and, you don’t move or even worse,

That they miss the light and it turns red again, because you didn’t move, and they are therefore delayed in their travel as a result.

So pretty please, with sugar, please pay attention, please minimize distracted driving, and especially distracted stop-light-waiting,

Please no distracted stop-light-waiting.

If this little reminder helps just one person, we’ll call it…
